Trespassing in Whistler. September's Yoga Video.

Sometimes I forget how much of a special place Whistler is. It was home to me (other then when I was off surfing and traveling) for 12+ years. I miss the vastness. The beauty. The endless opportunities to go outside and play. I miss the restaurants. And of course I miss the people. I have to admit that I was never really a mountain girl. After my first experience living on the Sunshine Coast in Australia back in 2004 I knew that the ocean was what did it for me. I do of course still enjoy a good visit back to catch up with friends, eat a bit of sushi village and to be reminded on how big and beautiful all of BC really is. Seriously. If you've never been to Whistler, GO. It's one amazing place.

This months yoga video was filmed on a dock on Alta Lake over looking Blackcomb Mountain. I had a view in mind and was well aware of these often empty docks that lined the west side of the lake. After a bit of bushwhacking I set up shop on one furthest away from any possible bypassing on lookers. I thought I was golden, until I heard the bushes moving and saw a man and his dog approach with his lawn chair cushion and a book. These docks are next to the railroad and legally anything on the waters edge is considered crown land. So REALLY I wasn't trespassing, but he gave me a dirty look, informed me I was on private property and hovered until I was done. Luckily, like most Whistler folks he was chill about the situation and happy to share his little pocket of paradise. Like everyone he was just anxious to absorb the last of the September sun.

Enjoy the video!
